About  the Author

Dena Chernenkoff is a Registered Nurse and a Women's Health and Empowerment leader.  Dena has always had a passion for healing. In 2011, she turned that passion into a career as a nurse and completed her bachelor of science in nursing. Although she loves being a nurse, she knows that bedside care alone does not always help others achieve true health. Her life experience in trauma and dealing with challenges offers first hand guidance on the art of resiliency. Therefore, she wrote her first book, For What It’s Worth, to empower women struggling with self-worth and uncertainty to take ownership of their independence, power, and health.

This book is a direct guide to a complete transformation in confidence, independence, and health. Through light humour, colloquial language, and a conversational writing style, she shares her approach to embracing a new identity with a strong sense of self-worth, and complete holistic health and wellness in the eight areas of health to embrace a vibrant new way of living.

Dena loves reading, leadership and mentoring, being in nature, running, travel, latte's. She lives in Canada with her wonderful husband and four beautiful children.

"
Dena Chernenkoff - known to me as the most supportive friend, compassionate nurse, loving
wife and the ultimate mother. I am officially her biggest fan on her newest title, inspirational
author. She is the most hardworking, dedicated person I know, and is the definition of a role
model in my eyes. She has climbed every mountain in her life with grace, courage and strength.
Dena is truly beautiful on the inside and the outside, someone who brings the most positive
light to anyone who has the privilege of knowing her. I have no doubt this book will be anything
short of life changing."

Reviews

"From the start of this book I could already tell it was going to have a huge impact on me. It feels so relatable. I read it slowly to really absorb everything, and it made me really emotional. This couldn't have come at a better time for me, I felt so desperate for answers and guidance while also trying to let go of my past and things I am ashamed of that are holding me back. It feels like I can't step into a better place mentally and start making the life I want for myself before I can truly heal and let go the past. This book is everything I need to help me to do that!" -Madison

"WOW WOW WOW!! I sit here with tears streaming down my face. I got this book last night and I just finished it. I couldn't put it down. She nailed it. It's professional, respectful, informative, brilliant, and just plain great."- E.D

"From the very early days of getting to know you I just knew that you would be someone I felt very grateful to have in my life. Your book is AMAZING."
- S.H

"I have to share how much this book is helping me again! The chapter about how you wear your emotions on your face, and ways to regulate during tough conversations as given me ability to finally find my voice. I was able to take what you said and use a much firmer tone during a really tough conversation I needed to have. I used the breathing exercise you taught when I felt the tears coming, and doing that really helped me to not cry as much so that I could stay focused on the points I was trying to get across. I am so glad I was able to find my voice. Thank you for being such a amazing help."- Ashley

"WOW. This book is so well written. It's beautiful, relatable, professional, funny, and it's bringing out so many emotions in me. I feel like this the perfect moment in time for me to be reading it."
